Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan, often dubbed "America's Good Time Blues Ambassadors", are presented here in a live recording made at two sold out concerts at Santa Barbara's (California) Victoria Hall on June 26, 1999. The critically acclaimed folk blues duo were celebrating their 20th year as a performing team and the 16 tracks on the disc include the first live recordings of many of their most requested tunes from previous albums on Flying Fish/Rounder and Sonotone Records, plus many new tunes that appear here for the first time on disc.
Tom Ball handles the vocals, plays superb guitar and is famous throughout the world as one of the finest acoustic folk/blues harmonica players on the planet. Kenny Sultan, guitarist extraordinaire, has been profiled in major music publications and both artists have numerous books and instruction videos in publication through the Hal Leonard/Centerstream organization. Tom's first novel "The Marty Graw Book" arrived in book stores at Christmas, 2002. These guys are the best in their field and this album, without extra guests, or studio overdubbing, presents a great snapshot of what Ball and Sultan are all about. Highly recommended!
