Fred James is no stranger to fans of the Taxim Blues Series. The Tenessee based producer's name appears on numerous Taxim projects and the the newest release on the label, The TAINTS - TAINT BLUES, finds James appearing as not just a producer and sideman, but a full fledged member of the band. The Taints are Fred and co-bluesmen, and singer/songwriter/instrumentalists, Bleu Jackson and Steve Hohn, each contributing songs, vocals and guitar work on a dozen original tracks. The music taint exactly blues, and it taint exactly rock, hence the groups name, the Taints.
