In their first recording, "Angels, Horses & Pirates", Little Blue presents big, no-nonsense songs embellished by strong vocal harmonies whose themes of journey and exploration come alive with infectious rhythm and melody. The record was co-produced by founding band member Steve Postell and Roscoe Beck. Roscoe has produced and played bass for artists such as Jennifer Warnes, Robben Ford and Leonard Cohen, and won "Producer of the Year" for Jennifer's record, "Famous Blue Raincoat". The project boasts the performances of many special artists who have known and worked with the band for years, including Eric Johnson and Robben Ford who both give riveting solos on "Angels, Horses & Pirates", as do guitar greats Warren Haynes, David Grissom, Jeff Golub and Jeff Pevar. Among others performing on this CD is Jennifer Warnes, who's exhilarating voice is featured on the Little Blue song, "Angel With A Gun", and Steve Holly, former drummer for Wings and Elton John, who is currently touring with Junior Brown. The record was mixed by up and coming producer Eric Ambel, the former Del Lords and Blackhearts guitarist. Eric's production credits include Nils Lofgren, Blood Oranges and the anticipated Atlantic release of the Bottle Rockets. Eric, (the other Roscoe) added a contemporary rock n' roll edge to the sound of the CD. Little Blue is honored by the serious enthusiasm and participation of their friends and collaborators.
