The British blues-rocker caught live at his best, on stage at the Luxembourg Blues Festival. No overdubs, no BS, just great guitar based rock & roll, with a slew of Mick Clarke originals and a couple of covers of Chuck Berry, McKinley Morganfield and Willy Dixon tunes. Turn this one up and stand back!
Mick Clarke: "The "Big Blues" Festival 2002 took place in a large circus tent by the side of the Mosel River in Luxembourg. Acts that day included Australia's Dave Hole, Mick Taylor, and the head-liner... Bo Diddley! We played in the afternoon and had a great time - there was a tremendous vibe which comes across well on the CD. Later we took some fresh air by the river, before returning to bop around with Bo. Our show was kindly recorded for us by Michael Reitz the engineer... many thanks. After a little editing we felt that it was a fair represen-tation of the band's live show, although the mix was never intended for a live album. Of course the priority had been to get a great sound for the audience at the concert, and some post production work was needed. However no overdubbing or alterations of the music were made... this is how it went down! Many thanks to Dragan and the crew at the "Big Blues" for a great day... and now you can be there too.
